5A05 Aluminum tubes specification
5A05 is an Al-Mg rust-proof aluminum alloy, which cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. The magnesium content of this alloy is higher, and its strength is lower, which is similar to that of 5A03 alloy. Cold deformation of the alloy can increase the strength, but reduce the plasticity. The plasticity of the annealed state is high, and the plasticity of the semi-cold work-hardened state is acceptable. The alloy has good corrosion resistance and acceptable weldability, and is suitable for spot welding, atomic hydrogen welding, gas welding, and argon arc welding. Its machinability is poor in the annealed state, and is still in the semi-cold work-hardened state.
