1050/5083 Aluminum Sheet Plate
5083 aluminium alloy is a high magnesium alloy with good strength, corrosion resistance and machinability in a non-heat treatable alloy. The anodised surface is aesthetically pleasing. The main alloying element in the 5083 alloy is magnesium, which provides good corrosion resistance and weldability, as well as medium strength. The excellent corrosion resistance makes alloy 5083 widely used in maritime applications such as ships, as well as automobiles, welded parts for aircraft, metro light rail, pressure vessels requiring strict fire protection (e.g. liquid tankers, refrigerated trucks, refrigerated containers), refrigeration units, TV towers, drilling equipment, transport equipment, missile parts, armour, etc.
1050 aluminium alloy is formed by adding a small amount of copper to pure aluminium and has excellent forming and processing characteristics, high corrosion resistance, good weldability and electrical conductivity. It is widely used in products that do not require high strength, such as chemical instruments, thin sheet machined parts, deep drawn or spun concave vessels, welded parts, heat exchangers, clock faces and plates, nameplates, kitchenware, decorative items, reflective appliances, etc.
